Our Founder
James Binding founded Binding Partnerships with a vision to create an executive search firm defined by solid ethics. With extensive experience across both emerging and established markets, James has built trusted relationships with leaders and organisations across the region.
James brings a personal approach to every engagement, drawing on his global experience and trusted network to guide clients through their leadership decisions. His reputation is built on integrity, transparency, and a strong commitment to ethics.
Based in Dubai, James Binding leads the Financial Services practice for Binding Partnerships.
He focuses on aligning senior talent with business strategy and leads executive searches for Sovereign Wealth Funds, Family-Owned Regional Conglomerates, Private Equity Funds, and their portfolio companies, including senior investment professionals, Chief Level positions, and Senior Advisors.
James has over 18 years of experience in C-suite and talent advisory services across the Middle East. During this time, he has recruited for a range of senior executive roles, acting as a trusted advisor to a diverse array of businesses across the region.
Previously, he worked in an in-house capacity for one of Mubadala’s portfolio companies, heading its Talent Acquisition team.
James began his career as a mechanical engineer, completing his technical apprenticeship with an American-based firm that manufactured CNC (Computer Numerical Control) centers, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.
James received a BSc in Computer Science & Information Systems, with honours, from Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom.
